Kause The Rapper Is On A Tear: New Video “GITA” Off 2023’s META EP Released
Listening to Kause’s 2023 EP META you’ll get the full breadth of a hungry, up-and-coming MC in the 2020s — melodic flow, lofi grooves, versatility, and hard bars.
The first track, aptly named “UNO”, gets the project off to a fast start. It feels reminiscent of early Denzel Curry tracks. The next reminded me of Boogie and one of the features had me thinking about Pharoahe Monch, but it’s clear that Kause is bringing his own unique energy and voice to the world.
He lit up Silk City in December and has been on a release run for a couple months. His latest between the music video for “GITA” and “WAVS”.
This some smooth shit
that shit that you can groove wit
holistic move music
GITA
The black and white theme he rides with implies sincerity, a succint and direct message — I’m here.
At least that’s my guess. It could be interpreted a thousand ways.
Maybe he just thinks it’s cool.
But Kause doesn’t look, sound, or feel like someone who does things just because it’s looks, sounds, or feels cool.
Kause resembles a man on a mission and I’m looking forward to seeing where that mission takes him.
In the last year his music has become must listen material and he’s consistently pressing the publish button.
Just in publishing this post and touching it up, the WAVS video was released and has been added above.
