Orion Sun is an up-and-comer making waves at festivals and on playlists across the country. Even if you hadn’t heard of them before now, it’s likely you’d come across this soulful singer and producer in due time.

Orion Sun is a Philadelphia-based producer and singer-songwriter. Her music career started on Youtube with her first song “Voicemail” and since then she has become a beloved artist amongst many, both local and afar. Her latest album, Hold Space for Me, is a portrait of mental health and a reminder to each of us to make room for our own needs in times where we might otherwise be too busy or distracted to take care of ourselves.

A masterpiece of pop-R&B, the album was inspired by many true stories from Orion Sun’s life, also known as Tiffany Majette’s. Isolation, poverty, and homelessness are a few of the explored subjects.

Besides being an accomplished vocalist and producer, Majette can play a myriad of instruments. From guitar and ukulele to bass and harmonica, her ability to bring a unique timbre to the strings gives her music its unique sound.

What’s special about this music is its scene-hopping ability. A song like “Antidote” could be played in just about any setting you can imagine—bedroom, weight room, study hall, fancy restaurant… it works.

H.E.R. vibes for sure. Orion Sun puts love in the air with ease. Fun and groovy typically proceeds sexy, but “Ne Me Quitte Pas (Don’t Leave Me)” can certainly lift the sensual senses if that’s what you’re after.

With producer credits to nearly their entire discography, the sound skills don’t stop there. You can listen to an Orion Sun remix on “Automatic” by Spencer. A song with over 1 million spotify streams.
