Highnoon’s “Semi Sweet” Is the Perfect Summer Soundtrack
Highnoon began as a solo project but flourished into the now four-piece pop/alternative group consisting of Kennedy Freeman, Justin Roth, Nathan Avila, and Brendan Simpson.
Claiming territory in the Philadelphia DIY scene, the band has grabbed the attention of many with their 2019 debut album Semi Sweet. The album is driven by flowing vocals from Freeman, and it’s the perfect soundtrack for lazy summer days, sitting in front of a fan and sipping lemonade.
The final song, “Bloom,” caps the album off beautifully. Even the most romantically cynical will feel something as Freeman sings us out with the repeating, “Everybody falls in love.”
Highnoon has teased new music at their live shows this year, and we’re looking forward to hearing what they have planned for the future! Check out Highnoon on Instagram @highnoonphl and be sure to give Semi Sweet a listen.
