New Awesome Special from Cancel Survivor, Shane Gillis
The world was introduced to Shane in the strangest of ways, kinda like:
Shane: “Knock knock”
World: “Hello?”
Shane, 6 years ago: “Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah… (derogatory term for asian folks)… blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.”
Internet: “Canceled.”
It’s likely he set a record for quickest internet KO.
But this guy’s got a chin on ‘em and just a big ass bucket of a head in general.
First, he debuted his YouTube sketch comedy series Gilly and Keeves. Pretty much every skit is a hit. They often take aim at cancel culture and political correctness with hilarity and well-intentioned honesty.
Below, is the most uncomfortable of the bunch. Five bucks says you tear through them all. You might also recognize some of the cast members from “Delco Proper,” the piloted Comedy Central web series that may have been a little ahead of its time.

He then ran through the podcast circuit. He wore a really cool Walmart polo on Joe Rogan, popped up on Theo Von’s show, Whiskey Ginger, Bobby Lee’s show and probably Fighter and The Kid and whatever microphone void Tim Dillon is yelling into. With the proper, well-deserved buzz, he’s dropped his first(?) special.
It’s really fucking good. Well-paced, laugh-after-laugh, Shane hits home with about 95% of his punches without really throwing a single serious punch. Does that make sense? He does a great job of playing observer in a self-deprecating way that disarms fiercely-clenched political poopholes.
It’s not much of a stretch to say that these sketches, while living in the limitless world of the internet, blow most of SNL’s skits out of the water—coming from a fan of the show, of course.
