Does it get any more depressing than this?

It does. And it will probably get worse.

This team was built to win. The billion dollars we’ve got at the plate came up empty and the All-Star bullpen shit down their leg. I do believe there’s some curse on the teams with the byes in the MLB playoffs and the Mets were hot, but this was a different level of sad. Pathetic.

And I have zero faith in the Eagles to right the ship.

The collapse of 2023 against the Diamondbacks at home was worse, but losing to the Mets adds a little extra sting.

The Sixers crashing and burning to the Celtics was shitty but we’ve come to expect that.

The Eagles blowing a second half Super Bowl lead because the defense couldn’t make a play was painful, but we thought we’d be back.

We won’t though.

Not the way this team is playing — arm tackling with their heads down like 5 year olds and taking care of the football the way Casey Anthony would those same 5 year olds.
