For the greater good, Philadelphia, & the hell of it

MAG

Good reads in all shapes and sizes.

Publishing thought-provoking editorials with wit, satire, and intense focus, alongside sharp articles on current matters.

From the harsh reality of gun violence in Philadelphia to a drug-fueled nosedive in a satirical world of sports psychology; and everything in between.

MIC

Philly’s impressively and expansively talented music & creative scene.

Flower handouts and funny shout-outs to the killers doing incredibly dope shit. No weak shit here.

The bigger picture is that of community connection, charitable fundraising, and furthering youth development resources. The City Root is established by, and published on behalf of those trying to break through and make their mark on this spinning ball of shit through goodwill and creative innovation. All done with the deliberate intention to bring unique content to the oversaturated arena social media and internet content.

Art & Life. Music & Madness.
