Recent Results in the Boxing & MMA World: Big Wins & A Title Fight Loss
the Marquez Maniacz Keep On Rollin'
First, Joe Pyfer dropped a bomb on a UFC Legend and walked out with a massive KO win, which we highlighted in our last MMA article here.
Then, Jeremiah Wells overcame an ugly first few minutes to take home a big-time decision victory against Matthew Semelsberger to keep his unbeaten streak alive. The win showed his ability to recover and compose himself in dire moments.
One more big win and he should be in the consideration for a top 15 fight, especially if it’s a spectacular finish.
The first minute looked scary enough my brother walked away from the fight saying, “He’s done. He’s done, Kevin.”
DON’T COUNT THESE PHILLY BOYS OUT, YA HEARDDDDD!!!
A Return to the Ring for Rasheen “Sugasheen” Brown
The young gun returned to the ring and looked super sharp to get the W and remind everyone he’s a serious fighter with big ambitions for his career.
In improving his record to 12-1 he made a statement win.

Unfortunately, DeAnna Bennett of Bellator lost a title match in Hawaii this past weekend after missing weight. Hope to see her back soon. She’s a great fighter and she’s definitely a character, which is good for the sport.
The fight prior to the title fight is below—silly post-win antics at the end.

Stephen “Cool Boy Steph” Fulton
Traveling to Japan to defend his title, the current Super Bantamweight champion will look to put an impressive passport stamp to his list of defenses against Naoya Inoue, and earn a spot in the pound-for-pound Top 10. Fulton recently went through four undefeated fighters in a row to unify his belt — WBO & WBC.
Originally, the fight was supposed to go down May 7th, but Inoue was injured in training and the new date is July 23rd in Tokyo.
Inoue is 24-0 with 21 KOs. He owned 4 belts at 118 and vacated them to become the undisputed bantamweight champ and start chasing belts up a weight class. He’s a star in his own right and this will be a massive fight in boxing and especially in Japan.
ANDRE PETROSKI
Unfortunately, he had to pull out of UFC 288 on May 6th due to injury, but he should be back soon in a grappling event and another UFC fight after that.
Petroski has a 5 fight win streak going, which is tied for the longest current streak in the entire UFC. He also fights out of the Marquez MMA gym. Call it 6 if you count his inclusion in the Top 3 hottest MMA fighters list, pause.
Sonny “The Bronco” Conto
Rumor has it the rising Heavyweight will fight again this Summer.
