Kanye West Was A Lot Cooler Than This “Ye” Guy; and Why The Fuck is Anti-Semitism Still Alive? Pt. 2

Ye is committed to sharing every thought that enters his brain, and as a certified bipolar genius artist. There are going to be a lot of thoughts. Some of which he needs to sleep on, but instead…

So by his own logic, he wants to go “def con 3” on both jewish AND black people? Glad you had to make that point about Jews controlling the media before hitting the hay, Ye. But it turns out, sleeping on it wouldn’t have helped as he went on to multiple media platforms to double down.

If you saw the Netflix doc, Ye clearly has his struggles with mental health, and the fame and influence that comes with being Kanye West, the world’s richest black man and one of the greatest hip-hop artists and producers of all-time, is a heavy burden that fans some seriously intense flames that are stoked by what I think are good intentions.

Still, it should be easy enough to just not say shit like that. It appears to have been the last straw for those who were giving him the mental health benefit of the doubt

He’s also bipolar and full of himself to the point he’s regurgitating his own shit thinking it’s gold. This is an assessment I bet Ye would confirm. He’s also a brilliant musician and designer.

All that being said, the man has a lot to say.

He’s offered some powerful and poignant words on media subjectivity. A fair point that he and many others have reitterated is that labeling someone crazy is a very easy way to discredit or dampen their star, let’s say. This is very true.

But when you vow to go “def con 3” on Jews… even if said in some unfunny joking way, you’re sure going to be discredited and, maybe not labeled crazy, but definitely anti-semitic and extremely toxic. I’d rather be called crazy than hateful. In a similarly strange appearance on Tucker Carlson’s show, he said Jared Kushner’s Middle East peace deals were purely for financial gain, a few short moments after asking Tucker if he knew what the Middle East peace deals were about because he didn’t know. That’s not the media discrediting Kanye. That’s Kanye discrediting Kanye.

Quickly, back to the rhetorical question posed earlier:

And guess what, there are plenty of Jewish people in media. So the fuck what? Does one singular group of people own and control the media? No, they don’t. If they did own the media… what is the big, evil agenda that Van and other weird old guys need to stop?

Kanye and other important figures in hip-hop have brought forth the fact that many black artists glorify gangbanging, drug-dealing and other subjects that are detrimental to the people, all the while Jewish label owners are making money off them.

To an extent, this is true. I think many wish that more positively tuned artists were seeing the spotlight the same way those primarily talking about running drugs and guns were promoted. However, we’re living in a time where most labels are signing artists that are already popular via social media and before those artists receive offers, no one is forcing them to rap about one subject or another. If they’re hot they hot. And if they’re a good rapper bringing positive messages to the community but aren’t receiving the love they deserve, that’s on the community, not the label.

Pray for YE

His entire life is amplified and he loves to push it further into the spotlight. I don’t think it’s possible to even put “No Men” around him to help him out at this point. He’s already let us know in one of my favorite songs, that "you know you can’t tell me nothin’ riiiighhtttt”

Luckily, no one seems to take him seriously anymore. So all we can do is pray for Ye.

I miss the old Kanye.
