The Polychromatics — “White Rabbit” & “Emily, If She Be There”

White rabbit

The snare has me marching at attention, but the bumpy bass, wavy guitar, and weird visuals got me tripping balls.

The Polychromatics song “White Rabbit” sounds like a musical armistice between Pink Floyd and My Chemical Romance as they come together to create a unique sound in the ever expanding universe that is music.

Emily, if she be there

Before I forget to mention, awesome song title, even better band name.

What I’m a fan of personally is their intent to experiment. “Emily, If She Be There…” isn’t close to “White Rabbit” in the songsphere and they even feature different singers — male and female, respectively. They both still produce dark trippy vibes within the realm of hard rock while sounding unique to one another.

They’re playing all over the place. Recently at The Grape Room, Silk City, The Haven, so be sure to follow and check out a show soon.
